Katie Jacoby is a New York City-based electric and acoustic violinist. She has performed diverse genres of music in a variety of settings such as Montreux Jazz Festival, Carnegie Hall, the White House, Germany’s Zappanale and Stuttgart Jazzopen festivals, Lollapalooza in Chicago, and NYC’s Shakespeare in the Park, and with bands ranging from Joe Russo’s Almost Dead to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Katie has played with KISS’ Peter Criss, Grammy-winning duo A Great Big World, and Grammy nominee Elle King, appeared in Rob Thomas’ music video “Hold On Forever,” recorded with American Idol winner Phillip Phillips on his record “Behind the Light,” and been a featured soloist with R&B legend Lloyd Price. She has also worked as a violin coach/consultant on Amazon’s acclaimed “Mozart in the Jungle.”

Television credits include performances on “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” for “Not the White House Correspondents’ Dinner,” HBO’s “Last Week Tonight” with John Oliver, the “America’s Got Talent” backing band, “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” “The Today Show,” “The View,” “Live! with Kelly and Michael,” VH1, and Logo.

Katie has also been featured in commercials and content for companies including Grand Hyatt (with Josh Groban), Microsoft, InterContinental Hotels Group/MasterCard, GMC, and Chinese footwear and sporting goods brand 361 Degrees (with NBA player Kevin Love).

Katie is currently a member of the Ed Palermo Big Band, which is known for its big band jazz renditions of Frank Zappa’s catalog. She is also a part of The Showdown Kids, a new gypsy jazz trio with JRAD’s Scott Metzger. Her original music is forthcoming.
